Este livro é um ombra-prima, maravilhosa; engraçado demais, bom estilo, bom enredo, e uma boa canalha nesse Theodorico Raposo. Se você quiser ler uma jóia da lingua portuguesa, le esse livro. Acho que é o melhor obra de Eça, mas Os Maias é maravilhosa tbm.

Desculpa, não sou falador nativo de português.

This is an excellent book, really wonderful. Funny, well written, with a good plot and a wonderful scoundrel-- Theodorico Raposo-- for the main character. By far my favorite work of Eça-- Os Maias is great also.

You will not be dissapointed with this jewel of portuguese literature.
