Very engaging from the start; you are drawn in immediately and the range of characters offers the reader a depth of understanding of the atmosphere of East Africa at that time. Tension builds towards the main event of the book, but the surrounding storylines are touching and empathetic.

Format: Paperback
A fast paced story that does a great job of evoking a place and culture that I have little knowledge of. Perhaps the story tries to fit too much in, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment and when I finished it I could happily have read more by the author set in this location.

An excellent read. very exciting and difficult to put down once started. If anything a bit too short! I wanted more.
Manages to convey the atmosphere prevailing in East Africa at that time.
