Product Description

Pleasure wants to buy her baby brother a present but when she lets go of her dad’s hand in the busy market, suddenly she can’t see him anywhere. Where has her dad gone?

Pleasure’s baby brother is teething and he just cries and cried all day. Pleasure wants to buy him a present to make him happy and she gets her chance when she goes to the market with her dad. Pleasure loves going to the market with all the brightly coloured stalls. While her dad is buying fish, Pleasure spots a toy stall and she lets go of Dad’s hand for just one minute…

Suddenly she can’t see her dad at all, he has completely disappeared and Pleasure is surrounded by stangers hurrying here and there. But it isn’t long before she sees her dad through the crowd and he helps her buy the best ever present for Paul.

From the Back Cover

Pleasure is happy to hep Dad with the shopping at the busy market. Her baby brother Paul is teething and she'd like to buy him a present. But while Pleasure is looking at the toy stall, she loses sight of Dad and thinks he has disappeared. Where has Dad gone?

Pritchards recommends 28 Jan 2011
Format:Paperback
A review by Jill Bennett for Books for Keep's - A reassuring portrayal of a potentially frightening situation which many young children may face. David Mitchell's crowded market scenes are wonderfully bright and busy.
Has been a Bookstart recommended read for toddlers too.

Simply Wonderful! 23 Feb 2011
Format:Paperback
A fantastic story of a young girl who is forced to experience what every child must hope never to go through, and manages to deal with the panic, and find a way out of the situiation. A beneficial, and reassuring read for youngsters, who can take much from the breathtaking illustrations upon every page which could tell the story alone. Every aspect of this book is outstanding, and I will certainly be recommending it to anyone who wishes to read their child, or have their child read, a thoroughly brilliant and satisfying story!
