Product Description

Synopsis

At the dawn of the 21st century, the old paradigms of medicine have begun to fall apart. We no longer believe that our bodies are machines with parts that wear down, only to be braced up by drugs or replaced through surgery. Instead, a growing number of pioneering researchers embrace a new view of healing - one expounded by Dr. Richard Gerber in his groundbreaking bestseller, Vibrational Medicine. Now he shows how to put this new way of thinking into practical use, describing the role of consciousness and "thought forms", as well as the benefits of homeopathy, acupuncture, colour and light healing, magnetobiology and other therapies. A traditionally trained physician, Dr. Gerber combines scientific evidence with traditional methods from the East and West to unlock our potential for healing ourselves.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fascinating and informative read. 20 Jun 2006
Format:Paperback
I decided to buy this book because my son has eczema and doctors had been unable to help very much, so looking for an alternative approach seemed like the next logical step. The idea of complementary and alternative medicine has appealed to me due to it's holistic approach, although as I didn't know very much about them I hoped this book would give me an overview of the various types in order to make a decision about which approach to try. The spiritual aspect of it also appealed to me. I was not disappointed, and as well as being extremely informative, I found this book an absolutely fascinating read. Gerber's explanation of the human energy system and consciousness is really enlightening and provides the foundation for understanding the whole spectrum of therapies he goes on to discuss. Although he talks in some depth about his subject, it is written in a clear and easy to read style.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Practical Guide to Vibrational Medicine 6 Aug 2002
By Richard Fuller - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
A Practical Guide to Vibrational Medicine
Energy Healing and Spiritual Transformation
by Richard Gerber, M.D.
"In the world of vibrational medicine, illness is thought to be caused by not only germs,
chemical toxins, and physical trauma but also by chronic dysfunctional emotional-energy
patterns and unhealthy ways of relating to ourselves and to other people" writes physician,
metaphysician, scientist and seeker Richard Gerber.
In his insightful and all-new book, A Practical Guide to Vibrational Medicine , Dr.
Gerber succinctly and effectively explains to the lay person various ways in which humans
are really more than merely biomachines. He describes the integral relationship between
our minds and bodies and how, when the level of balance of our emotional-energy is
disturbed, physical changes and weaknesses that contribute to disease, can occur.
This companion book to Vibrational Medicine, Third Edition, speaks to you and I in
language we can understand. We learn what vibrational medicine is and how it is
becoming recognized by modern medical doctors as a path to health and wellness.
A Practical Guide to Vibrational Medicine is complete...this reviewer found
discussions about chakras, homeopathy, acupuncture, flower essence and color and light
healing, magnetobiology, radionic and hands-on techniques. Further, this information is
presented by a passionate physician who is also a truth-seeker unbridled by scientific
ethnocentrism.
A Practical Guide to Vibrational Medicine is a bright light that illuminates the path to
a new (though sometimes ancient) frontier of medicine. Dr. Gerber offers scientific
evidence from case studies that prove the efficacy of combining modern medicine with
alternative medical treatments. In this reviewer's opinion, this book is a valuable tool to
understanding a better and cutting edge means to achieve better health and wellness!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Classic! 14 Jan 2006
By Dr. Richard G. Petty - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Richard Gerber continues to update this classic, which is outstanding, comprehensive and comprehensible.

If you are looking for an introduction to the many different novel forms of treatment which have emerging over the last century, this is one of the best places to start. He has also observed some of the profound similarities between healing and spiritual growth. Many of us have seen individuals undergo sudden and sometimes unexpected spiritual awakenings when they have been working wioth some of these techniques.

Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!! A must-read book! 5 Nov 2001
By "richard_fuller" - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Richard Gerber is both a physican and metaphysician, as well as a best-selling author. Vibrational Medicine, Third Edition combines the best of both worlds and connects them as a bridge spans two islands...the physical self and the spiritual self.
Dr. Gerber writes, "Medicine is at the threshold of discovering a hidden world of unseen energies that will help to diagnose and heal illness as well as allow researchers to gain new insights into the hidden potentials of consciousness". This exploration of energy (vibration) as it relates to modern medicine...the Newtonian viewpoint and the Einsteinian viewpoint, combined with Dr. Gerber's keen writing abilities, offer the reader a deeply esoteric look at the future of medicine.
Further, Vibrational Medicine, Third Edition discusses the efficacy of such ancient treatments as acupuncture, radionics, healing with crystals, Bach flower remedies, chakras, meditation and psychic healing. We learn about the relationship between higher vibrational energies and physical matter to understand the patterns governing the flow of the life-force through the physical body.
The marriage of homeopathy and modern medicine signals the verge of a major paradigm shift in the sciences. "Ideally", writes Dr. Gerber, "each therapeutic option offered by the different schools of thought might be used to complement and augment the effectiveness of the others, as opposed to relying on any single technique. This integrated model is one which may eventually be extended towards treating all forms of disease in a multidisciplinary fashion".
Vibrational Medicine, Third Edition, is a look at the future as it will affect our lives individually as well as globally. Richard Gerber, M.D. has given us an eye-opener that redefines diagnostics and healing...and offers solid evidence of the progression of alternative medicine!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a great book about the future of medicine 13 May 2005
By A fascinated reader - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I have enjoyed reading this book. There is a lot of useful information on a variety of remedies that are not given serious consideration by the average person. Homeopathy is used much more in countries like England than it is here in the U.S. Are you to believe the skeptic who says there is nothing to these remedies? Not if you take some time to thoroughly research a subject, than make an informed decision. Don't allow others to do your thinking for you, they don't always have your best interests in mind.

I was pleased to find that Gerber had quite a bit of information about magnet therapy in this book. Unlike many books, he did not neglect to mention the true pioneers of biomagnetics, Albert Roy Davis and Walter C. Rawls. Davis discovered, in 1936, that magnetism consists of two separate and distinct energies, each having a different effect. Too often, he and Rawls aren't given the credit they deserve. When they published their books in the 70's, doctors and scientists from around the world visited their lab. There is no better source for biomagnets, or information about the many other ways we can use magnetic energy, such as magnetizing seeds and water for better plant growth, and cleaning up toxic waste using Biomagnetic Bioremediation.

This book has a substantial amount of information on Flower Essences, Acupuncture, and other under used therapies. It's one book you shouldn't be without.
