A great mystery 17 Nov 2001
By A Customer
Format:VHS Tape
I remember watching this Ruth Rendell Mystery back in 1990 thinking it was very good, and couldn't wait for it to be released on video and it was just as good as I remembered when I got it, there were lots of good twists and great performances from both George Baker as Chief Inspector Wexford and Christopher Ravenscroft as Inspector Burden. If your looking for a good Murder mystery..this is it.

Achilles Heel 22 April 2008
Format:VHS Tape
This TV story is not based on a book written by Ruth Rendell, but is a TV presentation using the chracters she created.

It is a travesty. Ruth Rendell's books are about the real world. Ordinary people appear in them, and ordinary English locations. In this TV story all the people are young, thin, rich and beautiful. And all the locations are scenic and exotic. In short, it is like no book Ruth Rendell has ever written.

This is an excellent vieo which conbines great drama, story lines and acting. Its locations are always good and demonstrate a thoughtful insight into the story and yhe overall plot. Not to be missed!
