a New Beginning - unfortunately, No Ending,
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: A New Beginning (PC DVD) (DVD-ROM)
I was enjoying the game, puzzles not overly difficult and reasonable storyline. I reached Chapter 5 and saved the game in order to restart later but upon restoring the game momentarily went to the restore point and then regressed to the Conference area (Chapter 4) without any means of progressing. All the later save games go back to the same point but your inventory is as you last saved it. Restarting from a previous save point allows you to progress but there appears to be a bug in the research station where you cannot enter the bathroom to retrieve a vital item. At present I do not know of a fix for this and so cannot finish the game, hence my low overall rating. If anyone knows of a free patch for the english version I would be grateful.

Something different,
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars

This is a 'cartoon game'. No fancy graphics but many drawn backgrounds and basic movement skills for characters. Then, interspersed with this there are 'cartoon sequences'. I am still playing but the theme (global warming) is very current and the game puzzles interesting without being silly or tooo difficult. It will be interesting to see where it gets to but the experience is certainly different from all those 'shoot-em-up' games! Fun.

I really enjoyed this game. It was so different and full of puzzles which were mainly difficult but had a logic to work them out. This made a difference as I could use my brain power! Graphics are excellent. Scenes are varied from past to futuristic scenes.A very enjoyable game. Highly recommended.
