Odd, interesting album

The album is described as being unreleased tracks from a Detroit-based group who disbanded before getting their first EP out. I once suspected it of being a PR stunt designed to publicize some new, retro-psychedelic band, mostly because some aspects of the album (guitar effect, drum loops) seem more modern than the 60s. There are some excellent standout tracks (Motley Mary Ann is the one that made me buy the album after hearing it on a tv show) plus some weird ones and some run-of-the-mill psychedelic tunes that could have been Jefferson Airplane castoffs.
