Those familiar with Songdog will find this latest release a more fuller sound whilst still retaining the intimacy of their previous works. Lyndon Morgan is not only an outstanding lyricist but also has a knack of writing wonderful melodies. The album is full of gems. A life Eroding, 3.30am (small talk), Elaine, are among my favourites. As always each song tells a story and is lyric heavy. The only track I struggle with is Obediah's Waltz which has synthesized vocals and in my opinion sounds out of place compared with every other song. If you like acoustic singer songwriter melancholy, Songdog will be right up your street. This is without doubt one of the finest releases this year. Don't miss out!
