Product Description

Ten years ago, intelligence officer Jordan Weiss’s life was turned upside down when her college boyfriend Jared drowned. But in a shocking discovery, Jordan realizes that she has been lied to and betrayed by those closest to her.

Reeling from the knowledge that Jared faked his own death, she sets out from London to find him. At Jared’s last known address in the opulent French Riviera city of Monaco, she meets Nicole, a mysterious blonde who refuses to disclose what she knows about Jared. She also encounters Aaron, a seductive Israeli private investigator, who is chasing Nicole for cryptic reasons of his own.

What lies ahead is a perilous chase across Europe as Jordan searches for answers about the only man she has ever loved. Will the truth be too devastating to handle?

5.0 out of 5 stars An end to the affair 24 Mar 2011
By Jude
I was so relieved when I came to the end of The Officer's Lover to find that Pam Jenoff was already working on a sequel. The end product being A Hidden Affair. I couldn't wait for it to be published in papaerback and I wasn't disappointed.

It catches up with Jordan Weiss soon after the end of the previous novel and takes you at break neck speed across Europe in search of her lost love. I also had to read it at break neck speed as it drags you in to the intrigue.

It could be read as a stand alone novel but benefits from the details from The Officer's Lover, in itself an excellent read. The Officer's Lover

4.0 out of 5 stars Plenty of twists and turns 17 Sep 2011
By rieriej
This story contines on from Pam Jenoff's previous book " The officer's lover". I would totally reccomend you read the first book in this duo first so the second makes more sense to you. I loved the first book and i also have enjoyed this second book. There are lots of twists and turns to the story right up until the closing pages. This book is not what i would call a "wow" read - its a slow burner that gradulally gets better as you read on and on. you really feel like you get to know the characters and its really nice to finally know what happened to Jared - not at all what i expected! the love interest part however is alittle predictable! Its hard to descirbe who this book would appeal to most - its got love, espionage, adventure, action, drama. A very idfferent kind of read! 8/10 for me

5.0 out of 5 stars James Bond for girls 26 April 2014
Very good follow up to The Officer's Lover. Twists and turns and fast paced. This was a change from my normal chick lit reads and encouraged me to try something new.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad. 9 Jun 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book stars out well, as a sequel to Officer's Lover. However, I found it becoming a bit unrealistic towards the end which spoilt it a bit.
