Product Description

Review

The words to describe this book might be 'powerful gentleness'. Church Times An easy read, in short chapters that you can absorb, a bit at a time. But I doubt that you will be able to put it down. It will inspire and challenge. lion&lamb This is... a book which identifies listening as something which is right at the heart of Christian spirituality and indeed theology and the Gospel. Chrism

This book by Michael Mitton is a fantastic read. Having done several listening courses much was what I already knew, yet so much more was added to my knowledge. At the same time there is a most relevant story running through it. A great author and I now have another book on order from him.

Whenever I read a Michael Mitton book positive 'things' start happening in my life. I like the way that it has a story running parrallel to the narrative. I recommend this book to anyone who takes their Christian walk seriously and who has a heart to 'listen' and who wants to make a difference to others around them and to their environment. This book will prepare you for further study.

Lovely sensitive book with honest , practical and experiential advice from Michael Mitton on how to be a better listener.

Enjoyed reading this immensely and trust I will implement some of this advice as I listen to others. We need to train ourselves to listen more and speak less and thereby tune into the pain and hurt that is in so many lives.

A clear and easy read with a wonderful story thread that illustrates the authors intent for learning in each chapter. Would recommend and have already lent out to a friend. It sounds like a simple thing to do "Listen", but shows how we can so easily devalue our closest relationships if we don't heed the wisdom in this book.
