US Peace Corps Volunteer Reviews his Bible 15 Nov 2000
By L. S. Freeman - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
As a Peace Corps Water and Sanitation Volunteer working in the Dominican Republic, Jordan has been my Bible for designing and working with the community to construct a gravity-flow acueduct. Although it is based in Nepal, this appropriate technology can be applied whereever solutions to relatively simple water problems are sought.

This is the book 20 Feb 2009
By S. Palubinski - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This is a text book written with the functionality of a detailed work pack. The 5 star ratings are all earned. If you are involved in any aspect of water supply and sanitation - buy it. It is like a classic engineering text that pursues it's topic from theory to design to cost and time estimating to construction and maintenance. And it doesn't cost $300!

For topographic surveying, I used a theodolite, which is much faster and preciser than an Abney level. The skills needed are much harder to teach though... A cheap transit will do the job of a professional theodolite for a fraction of the price. [...]
