Product Description

This third and thoroughly updated edition of a classic text brings together once again a distinguished group of psychiatrists and clinical psychologists to offer the best of evidence-based practice, taking stock of which treatments and interventions actually work, which don't, and which still remain beyond the scope of current knowledge. The new edition has been extensively revised to take account of recent drug developments and advances in psychotherapeutic interventions. Incorporating a wealth of new information, it reviews all available outcome data and clinical trials and provides detailed specification of methods and procedures to ensure effective treatment for each disorder.

By Pen Name and That A - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
A lot of smart people have given this book great reviews. I still think they are all wrong. The two biggest problems are: 1) BY FAR the biggest determinent of the effectiveness of psychological treatment is how the treatment is delivered, and not which treatment is delivered, 2) Every minute you spend with this book will be a minute less spent learning how to treat people effectively.
