Just what I needed... 15 April 2012
I am a writer, not a designer, however I found this book has a wealth of information that can be applied across disciplines. I have used this book extensively to create a portfolio of my work that is visual, so I can show my audience the creative processes I have used to create my work (whether they be my publishers, readers, or listeners at events).

I particularly found the case studies within the book great reading, it brought the text to life and helped me to relate to the beauitful graphics and imagery that are littered throughout this guide.

Well worth a read, for anyone who works, loves or admires the creative industries.

A real gem 20 Jan 2012
I've had to put together a multitude of portfolios over the years and I've always felt there's a real lack of guidance in this area. This nifty tome has changed that and given portfolio making the makeover it deserves. Macauley Bowstead shows a real understanding of the mechanics of portfolios and through wide consultation has created a handbook that can be used by artists and designers of all modes. Tres bon!
