I do not consider myself to be an impulsive buyer, but having just returned from a concert in which Priscilla Ahn was the support act, I had to log on and find myself a copy of this album. Ahn performed several tracks from this collection, which simply cry out for the attention of the listener. The clarity of her voice is remarkable and the pitch is utterly enchanting, the most striking I have heard in a long time. Ahn lends originality to her guitar based tunes, by pre-recording harmonies of her own voice, to accompany her singing or harmonica playing. The songs themselves are simple, but form a charming collection of tales drawn from the artist's experiences. If you enjoy relaxing contemporary folk music "A Good Day" is highly recommended.
