i really enjoyed this book. i think this author has a great knack of making you actually care about the characters, and therefore care about finishing the book so you can find out what becomes of them!

i'd love to be in a family like the londons, and have a friend like gervaise

A dose of hope 5 July 2004

Format:Paperback
When i finished " A Friend of the family" I couldn't believe that I wasn't going to know more about Gervase and the rest of the family London.
It is the perfect book to take on holiday or even to read at home in your free time. It is charming, funny and full of emotion. It makes you think that in the world there is people who helps people in one way or another. And shows you how important is being a member of your own family.

I recomend it to anybody who want to have a nice and cheerful reading time.

When A friend of the Family was released I have to admit I went straight out to buy it. Having read all books written by Lisa Jewell, I had to buy her latest release.

Once again, her writing style is great. She manages to write about different characters in each chapter and it is the sort of book you cannot put down.

Great read.
