This handy-sized book is a superb aid for anyone wanting to survey bird nests.
Each species covered in the book has its own section with sub-sections on where the species breeds, where the nest is sited, which sex builds the nest, incubates the eggs, feeds the young, with information on identifying nests and young and, most importantly, which methods to use to find the nest, either while it is being built, during incubation or while young are in the nest.
The book is also sized to fit into most pockets, and could, therefore, be used in the field with no problem.
Any ornithologist studying breeding birds is likely to find helpful information here.
As I appear in a photograph in this book, I may be a little biased, but it is is simply brilliant!
