This was a good read. I gave it 3 stars because I still prefer the Anna Travis books. Also this was a little intense for me. I like a good crime book but this was a little disturbing and went into detail a little too much at one point. I considered skipping the chapter as I knew she was going to go into full on detail which I didn't want to particularly read and which wasn't necessary in my opinion. Apart from that it was a good story and would recommend if you've read the first Prime Suspect.

Absolutely fabulous - As always - gripping, true-to-life and a brilliant insight into the World of those who should know better. I'd seen the dramas on the tv which gave me a mental picture of the characters - now I want to see them again with an understanding of all the twists and turns in the background that I missed in the programmes. I bought all 3 of the Prime Suspects, one after the other and became the silent colleague in the corner watching everything as part of the team!

Another brilliantly suspenseful and intriguing tale from the industrious pen of Ms LaPlante - the master writer. The choice of Helen Mirren to play Tennison was a stroke of genius as throughout the reading you could see Mirren delivering every word.
I know this is an early book but I was really surprised how far attitudes, approaches, language, and appliances had changed courtesy of Health and Safety and abuse charges. It is a valuable historical policing record.

I really enjoyed this book, it kept me engrossed all the way through. I have read just about all of Lynda La Plante's books. It is always a shame when one has read all the stories written by such a good author. I DO hope she will keep writing more books of the same high standard. Thanks Lynda!
