RAF Bomber Command controlled the RAF's bomber
forces from 1936 to 1968. During the SecondWorld
War, the period covered by this book, the Command
destroyed a significant proportion of Nazi Germany's
industries and many German cities, although at great
loss, with over 55,000 killed out of 125,000 aircrew.
