The comic industry's top annual awards, "The Eisners", are named in his honour.

first graphic novel ever by great master 12 Jun 2001

Simple stories, told in alassical bitter-sweet jewish tone of voice delivers the 1930s in a four parts.The stories of Fremme Hersch, the Jew who had a contract with God, the saga of the street singer's ill fortune are the tales of chances and emotions. You will be proud to own it - as a first format book and masterpiece.

A book I have read again & Again & Again & 11 April 2007

My son first bought this book & told me i should read it Now I have my own copy & I feel compelled to read it at least once a month Eisner has captured a feel to this book that comes alive as you read it each story is a classic.I always feel totally relaxed when reading this graphic noval.It will always take pride of place in my book collection.

Buy it & you will see what I mean.Now back to reading A Contract With G-d

Comics masterpiece by the same creator of Spirit 19 Jan 1998

Contract with God shows Eisner at his best, putting together an excelent story with Eisner's great art. The book brings up the idea : if I'm a good person loyal to God, will He treat me alright ?
