I found this book immensely enjoyable when I first read it in 1998, and I'm pleased to say that with a further reading recently, it is as good as I remember. Cassandra Eason has managed to cover a huge range of subjects in a relatively small space - magical alphabets, meditation, ghosts, ritual magic, psychic powers, divination, crystals etc. As well as general information and instruction about each subject, the book also includes 'testimonies' of many people who have written to Cassandra Eason documenting their experiences relating to the text. This book was what got me started on my Pagan path, as it provides a gentle insight into many Pagan practices without blatently advertising them as such. Whether this was intented or not, I don't know.
The only problem I had with this book, and the reason I haven't given it five stars is that I felt it should have been renamed to be more in line with the content - the majority of the book deals with divination, rather than actual psychic development (although I suppose divination can be counted as a subsection of psychic development). However, regardless of that, this is an excellent book and deserves a place on the bookshelf of anyone with esoteric interests.

If you are stuck for ways to tap into your psychic potential this book has it all. Over 35 ways to develop the things that were there all the time but you failed to notice them. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

i really enjoyed this book it really inspired me to do the excercises in the book and become a more fulfilled person. it also made my beliefs in the god and godess stronger. it is written well and there are lots of sections such as divination and magick and also healing.which is good because it helps you so that you can out your pyshic powers to good use.i have always been interested in developing my pyschic powers and when i read this book and did the excersies i felt so alive, and rejuvenated. thank u!
