About the Author
Leigh Toselli has over 25 years experience in the fashion and beauty industry. She started out as a model, soon developing an interest in fashion design. While modelling, Leigh cemented a career as freelance make-up artist, stylist and fashion coordinator, working for a variety of magazines and large retail companies. She continues to freelance as beauty editor and stylist for the South African editions of Oprah, Longevity, FHM and Elle magazines. Leigh Toselli is the author of The Makeup Book (New Holland, 2004).

This book is written from the perspective of an author from a fashion and photography background; and it is clear that the author has a fascination with the beautification of the hands and feet. It is not written within the traditional academic context of beauty therapy; but nevertheless is does give the learner a sound introduction in to care of the hands and feet; and does contain advice from beauty therapists'. It includes lots of unusual information along the way, and the appeal of the book is such that it entices the reader in to the world of beauty therapy. This book is ideal for the beginner therapist who wishes to specialise in Manicure and Pedicure treatments; or for the 'would be' therapist thinking of joining the beauty therapy profession as a beginner. Definitely worth a read!

This is an excellent book and is ideal for anyone who has trained to do nails or as an extra book to training.
It has all I need in it plus a bit more.
Includes details of both hand and foot reflexology as well as the differing conditions that that can affect the hands and feet.
Well priced for such an informative book.

I bought this after taking an interest in caring for my own nails to cut the cost of salon manicures.
It was very helpful and informative.
It gives step by step instructions and the reasons behind each step too.
Marked it down one star as it's paper back & quite large, so not easy to keep the pages open if you're following the book step by step.
If you have a book stand or a page holder, this won't be an issue for you.
