This book is rather light on text and story so don't buy it unless like me you just love the illustrations. It's Winter but it's warm and there is no sign of snow .... but wait something magical is happening! Translucent pages mark the divide between the real and the surreal as a boy travels through the winter landscape of his dream world.

I received this book as a gift for my toddler son. Although I do think the illustration is beautiful, the images of the snow approaching look somewhat menacing. It seems there was much work put into the pictures, but absolutley none into a story of any kind. The book is very short and doesn't say anything at all; there are several pages that actually have no words. There are few children's books that I can say that I truly do not like, and this is one. Very disappointing.

The illustrations are a bit frightening. After seeing this book, kids who have never seen snow will be afraid of it. The story isn't much better, it ends like the introduction to a good book, just there isn't a good book after it.
