1.0 out of 5 stars A disappointment, 2 Nov 2007
By A. Becker (London) - See all my reviews

Sadly this antenna did not work for me. It did not noticelebly increase the range or reliability of my wireless LAN. I solved my problem in the end by reattaching the original antenna and re-positioning the PC.

1.0 out of 5 stars BIG low performance antenna, 30 Dec 2008
By Craig Burrows - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This antenna is big, rougly 3 times taller than the standard router antenna. Unfortunately this did not mean a better connection for me. I ran multiple bandwidth tests on 'speedtest', and also kept an eye on 'netmeter' graphical bandwidth monitor. Performance from standard router dropped about a third, and the data rate was not constant - fluxuating, and frustrating. I tried many combinations and positions, however everything was proved when I tested the connection with the standard/RubberDuck antenna sitting beside the router. Very poor performance compared with standard Netgear router antenna.

Keep your standard one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth it for £10, 14 Oct 2008
By R. Mijic (england) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This antenna worked for me: I got a signal strength increase from 24% to 39%, taking my WiFi bandwidth from approx 6 Mbps to a solid 11Mbps.

This seems about - I replaced my 4dbi antenna with a 9dbi antenna and got roughly double the data rate.
