Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

As you might expect, the Party in the Park album serves up two hours of Capital Radio 's patented mix of pop, pop dance, pop rock, and pop R&B. Somewhat oddly, though the line-up matches June 2001's spectacular event, most of the tracks here aren't top of this summer's pops but are golden not-so-oldies from sunny months of yore--some as far back as 1997. Even the obligatory Geri, Steps and Destiny's Child tracks aren't from their latest albums. Nevertheless, the two CDs here sum up the atmosphere nicely and are topped off with a video section featuring Party... performances from Texas and David Gray, which you can enjoy without any nagging worries about soggy hotdogs or Portaloos. --Rikki Price

Party in the Park is a great compilation of many various artists, so there's something for everyone. I was dissapointed by the lack of songs which were performed this year on the album, but this was the only drawback. The video footage which can be played on a computer was an extra bonus. A great CD to put on when friends are round as the songs are popular and varied. If your looking for a slow love song or a funky beat, Party in the Park has it.

I THROUGH THAT THIS CD WAS VERY GOOD. I WATCHED THE TV COVERAGE OF IT. I ENJOY IT AS THERE IS A GOOD MIX OF MUSIC ON IT. THE SONGS I LIKE ARE ANGEL. PURE & SIMPLY. THERE WERE SOME TRACKS THAT I WAS NOT QUITE SO KEEN ON. THERE IS ALSO A CD ROM OF SOME OF THE ARTISTS PERFORMING AT THE SHOW.

Over the years I have listened to and watched most of the Princes Trust concerts and overall have been impressed by the artist line ups that have appeared. So, for the first time I bought this album, in the hope that I would be treated to some live recordings. Absolutely NOT, the track list is no less that some other popular compo albums and to be honest I feel like I have been ripped off, after all when the guy at the shop refuses to take it back that says it all. No, avoid this one, if you want a compilation album, (because that is all this is) then look at some other chart compo albums, you'll get more, and again the producers presumed I wanted one of these CD Rom movie thingy's . I can appreciate the need to give us a treat and try to pull something out of the bag, a little experimentation etc, but again even this did nothing apart from offend me, I mean, black and white???? and in a frame that you need a magnifying glass to watch it with, no sorry, please issue a CD Rom with ONLY Cd roms for those that want them, but not in general, I would prefer another couple of tracks to be included. RIK.
