Like the previous reviewer I think the dated cover and title may put some people off, but if you can get past that, the recipes are amazing and the notes that she has written to accompany them make you want to go out and buy all the ingredients and cook EVERYTHING!
Great photo of the actual food and helpfully divided up into sections to include, weekday and weekend food, desserts and preserves. Thoroughly recommended

The very dated cover (did we really dress and wear our hair like that in the 90's?!!) may put a few off but, inside, this book has a wealth of Italian recipes for both vegetarians and non vegies alike. I have had a hardback copy of this book for quite a few years and tried many of the recipes and have bought this copy for a friend who kept borrowing my copy. Most of the ingredients are easily available and not luxury items nor terribly complicated.
Seller delivered quickly and the book was a bargain.

Amazon.com: 1 review
Not as good as her other books 12 Aug 2013
By Susan Buekes - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I usually enjoy using Ursula Ferrigno's recipe books, but this particular one is most disappointing. The book was published in 1996 and the recipes are most cumbersome, with long lists of unusual ingredient combinations. Just reading through the recipes makes one tired and lose interest in trying any of them. Her other booksTruly Italian: Quick & Simple Vegetarian Cooking
Buonissimo!: Easy Modern Recipes for Traditional Italian Cooking
make for enjoyable reading and the ingredients are usually easily obtainable and qre mostly already available in the store cupboard or refrigerator. One then feels like trying them out immediately.
With this book I look in the index for a particular main ingredient, find the relevant recipe, then simply put the book back on the shelf and pick up one of her other books which will invariably contain an easier and tastier recipe.
