Bought this cheap fan from CDL Micro with the picture shown as 'Sabre' but the actual item that arrived was a 'Logilink' fan (specs shown below)

The Logilink fan does move alot of air at 50CFM which you can feel when putting your hand next to it but does create alot of noise 32.6 db (A) & as it does not have a 3 pin motherboard connection you cannot change its speed in the bios settings to help reduce the speed & thus the noise it makes.

So if noise is an issue you won't be happy hearing the constant distracting whirring sound that this fan makes.

I have just ordered the Sharkoon Case Fan (because I want a silent computer) which is £3 more than this fan but boasts lower noise 17.8 dB(A) & 22.70 CFM. It also comes with a 3 pin motherboard connection, hopefully as per the reviews for this fan I will bearly be able to hear it.

In summary this fan is probably best for those who don't mind the noise & need a cheap powerful fan due to high computer temperatures.

Specification:

Dimensions: 80x80x25 mm
Flow rate: 50 CFM
Noise: 32.6 dB (A)
Operating voltage: 12 V DC
Voltage range: 12 V DC
Current consumption: 16 mA
Rated speed: 2,500 rpm
Life: 30,000 hours
Port: 5.25 inch double Y-connector

Amazon Verified Purchase
I was looking for a case fan to replace mine which was getting noisey. This fitted my case exactly and electrical connectors exactly. In use it is cetainly quieter than my old fan. So job done at a price that doesn't break the bank. Prompt delivery. Only two screws supplied, but I didn't need them as I re-used the ones from my old fan.

Great Choice 7 July 2011
Tested it at home today, what can I say? Makes little noise, and has a very good airflow. I don't think you can get any more for this price. If you are on a budget, get this, it is a little champion.

If your PC fans are starting to get a bit noisy, this fan is a great replacement. It moves a good volume of air and runs quietly. Just the job!

Excellent Fan, very quiet
Unlike some previous reviews I found that the fans were very quiet, like the previous time I bought them from this supplier. Maybe in between a different fan has been supplied.

Good Value
The fan is relatively quiet (I can't hear it over my other fans). It does the job, and for the money, I can't complain.

Does the job well - and relatively quiet
This is a basic fan. It cools well and is actually quiet which I was surprised given the cheap price. Read more
