Easy to follow, very progressive set of training (not workouts..) plans. Does the job is record time without killing you, though you will feel it, and you certainly need to attack it to stay on track. Would recommend for real world fitness.

Jumping into this program taught me something really important: you cannot HIDE from the work required here. I've been doing more traditional weight lifting and strength programs at the gym over the last many months, and while the plans and programs have gone rather well for me, in just six days of working on this program I realized that I hadn't been giving it my all, and I'd been cutting corners. With 8 Weeks to SEALfit, if you stay committed to the work in front of you, you can't hide. And that's a great thing.

Commander Divine has done a great job of putting together a lot of great work here. The progressions are great and even if you're not a Crossfitter (which I'm definitely not), you get a sense of what he did to merge together traditional calisthenics, CrossFit, plus yoga and a few other disciplines to build a really smart and really challenging fitness program.

I love the additional stories and flavor that adds to the storyline of what people who appreciate the work of the US Navy SEALs would connect with, and I found myself reading those stories while sucking wind and trying to recover during the challenging (for me anyway) workouts.

Definitely not a "for beginners" book, but realize that if I can do it, you probably can, too. Give it a go. Coach Divine also augments this very well with his websites as well.

I've been training with SEALFit for 3 years now. There is a reason for that. CDR Mark Divine knows what he is doing and this book is him sharing his knowledge. I highly recommend this book. I read the original version and I have just finished this newer version. I would tell anyone to buy it. It's worth it's weight in gold.

This book was very inspiring. I read the entire thing, cover-to-cover twice in three days. The author walks you through methods to overcome mental obstacles, so that you can meet your physical and mental goals, while becoming a better person in the process. I recommend this to anyone who is trying to become a better person, mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

I've never been in the military, but it's always been a passion of mine. Mark Divine is the real deal! Divine was a Navy SEAL and he covers the mental, physical, and other aspects of being overall "healthy" in this book. From your diet, to what you should be doing to get into shape. It's just a really great book written by someone who knows what they're talking about. I coupled this book with his other book: "The Way of the SEAL"...which is also an absolutely amazing book! 8 Weeks to SEALFIT gives you what you need for a healthy body and mind. I could go on and on, but it's a great book! I have the paperback, and it's a big book! I leave it on my coffee table and it always sparks conversation. Great illustrations and it's easy to read.
