If you liked Pirates of the Caribbean, or perhaps the Errol Flynn adventure stories, then 7th Sea is the Role-playing Game for you.
The system, based on AEG's more successful Legend of the Five Rings uses ten-sided dice to determine the outcome of any action, but it is the world that was created for the system that is the real gem.

There is room for almost all genres within its borders, from political intrigue and high derring-do in Castille, to monster hunting in Eisen, from piracy on the six seas (the 7th Sea of the title is a legend spoken of by sailors with awe) to the backstabbing of Vodacce.

Theah is a world that vaguely resembles renaissance Europe, complete with invasions and battles, but with a twist, since Theah was once ruled by various races of mystical creatures whose origins are shrouded in mystery and who are now long dead (or are they). Along with Secret Societies that have an agenda, and sorcery that is breaking down barriers to another realm, 7th Sea is fantasy adventure with a twist.

If you want a good role-playing game for a bit of fun, this is it!
