Many times whilst on holiday we have had to ask someone to take our photo, this simple little device allows me to self take the photo without it looking like a "self take". It's about 8 inches long when its closed and extends to about 2ft long opened. Once its been screwed it to your camera you can angle the camera through 180 degrees to get the best angle for the shot.

I would not recommend this product for use with a GoPro whilst snowboarding. It just isn't solid enough to take forces used during the sport and I don't mean crashes and damage. Just regular riding causes the camera to swivel within it's mounting and the poles to rotate within each other, the ball-socket broke within 3 days of use. I threw it in the hotel bin.
