With their 3rd album Cobra Killer continue along the path of their previous album 'The Third Armpit' as they move further away from the cut-up electronica of their debut Digital Hardcore album and closer to more recognisable pop songs. Personally I still slightly prefer the sound of their debut, as it was so unhinged with its colliding mismatched samples that it sounded unique, but there's still plenty to enjoy on '76/77', with the band sounding like a collision between 60's girl pop and cutting edge electronics. Great fun.
