Product Description

PURE

Synopsis

Presents a collection of ground-breaking web designs. The speed of Internet development constantly demands new and cleverly thought-out web designs, which means that web-site designers have to continually develop new and fresh graphic solutions to get across different content to the viewer. What they come up with is then transported via the World Wide Web and represented in 72 dots-per-inch resolution (72 dpi) on a computer monitor. This book shows a selection of the most successful solutions from all parts of the world in a landscape screen format.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal source of inspiration, 24 Nov 2003

Ideal for looking through for inspiration, I wasn't dissapointed. Big fat book with loads of styles and valid comments to go with it. Examples from corporates like Audi and design and clothing companies, and also small time design agencies. I love it, and flick through it all the time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good insight but a bit dated now..., 27 Sep 2006

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: 72 DPI (Paperback)
I brought this book thinking it would have some cutting edge design in it only to realise that it was published in 2000, my mistake i know... Theres some really informative articles about different ways to look at designing for the web.Although the technology used on many of the sites is now a bit dated its still an inspiration from a designers point of view, its also good to see six years along the line what we as designers thought the internet was going to evolve into. A good insight into turn of the millenium web design.
