I downloaded this expecting a 7 day smoothie diet, in fact it's a few pages of waffle and 7 recipes. So not very useful for helping me back on the wagon i'm afraid. However i've tried 4 of the 7 recipes and they're all delicious. It's not cheap to make these drinks that's for sure but I'm already feeling perkier so it's a worthwhile investment. I'm glad I invested 77p for the recipes but if you're looking for advice about a detox diet then this isn't it.

This was an ok guide. I liked how the author actually gave a really nice step by step intro on how to make green smoothies. I liked this part and has enabled me to venture out on some of my own recipes. I didn't care for most of the actual recipes. Monday was the worst, and I really hope that someone trying a green smoothie for the first time that this wasn't it. Not smooth or creamy at all, but very pulpy and not appetizing at all. The kiwi smoothie was ok, but very overpowering kiwi, and I like kiwi. So basically I have used this book for the first into part on how to make a green smoothie, but not the recipes themselves.

This is the 3rd book that i have recently purchased re: green smoothies and by far the BEST! They really explain how to correctly make a smoothie & in what order you should put the ingredients into blender. They also go so far as to say what types of ingredients go well together & also include great recipes & shopping lists. I was willing to try anything due to some health issues but the real winner was that my husband is now drinking them! (FYI, my husband HATES any/all veggies & most fruits) He loves the smoothies. Yes, it really does have to do with what order/quantity & combination you use. They explain quite well the importance of "beginner" green smoothies & even how to make a bit sweeter to disguise the "green" for some folks & let me tell you it works. Also, the give you great sources of info & their own web site is awesome & full of recipes too ;-)

I would recommend this book to people like me - people who know nothing (or almost nothing) about the concept of green smoothies.

It is a very basic, high-level overview of what a green smoothie is, how to make it, and some recipes.

It really does seem like the book was basically just an ad to drive you to the website for more information, but at $0.99, you can hardly be upset about that.

Something else that I should mention is that I have used the recipes in the book regularly for about a week, and I definitely did lose weight - about 5 or 6 lbs (but I was also taking other steps to help with weight loss, so green smoothies probably weren't the only factor).

Get the book. It's only $0.99.

Unlike the reviewer who thinks the 5 stars are from relatives, I am NOT a relative or even a friend of the author. I was looking for a better way to get fruits and veggies into my diet and this is helping. I have replaced my breakfast meal with a green smoothie and in one week, I'm noticing more regularity and less heartburn (even after eating jalapeno poppers!). I think the way the author described to create the smoothies was very helpful. I personally do not follow any of their recipes, but am enjoying creating varieties. Try it and see what you think.

If you want to know more about Green Smoothies this is the book for you! They offer you tips on how the ingredients should be blended to make the best smoothie. It is also a great way to try a different smoothie every day and transition yoursefld into having smoothies regulary. I highly recommend this book!
