First off, this is not Time Heals Nothing and Obedience Thru Suffering in one. It's the whole of THN and 4 bonus tracks from OTS. Don't be put off however, as this editon is an enhanced CD that features two music videos (The Only Factor and Subversion) some photographs, a Crowbar biography and the lyrics to each song all presented in a neat little program contained on the disc- well worth getting. This CD is essential if you are a fan of Crowbar already. If you are new to the band, have a listen to the samples on some of their other albums first before judging them as the chances are they are a better place to start to get what Crowbar are all about. Time Heals Nothing is classic Crowbar, Heavy Sludge with the patented 'wall of riffs' relentlessness and pained, emotional vocals. This release was described by band mastermind Kirk as their first proper album. It's notable for their first attempts at solemn, more melodic songs like the title track Time Heals Nothing. If you know Crowbar then you know to get this, if you don't, start elsewhere, but remember to come back and hunt this down. The 4 tracks from OTS are great as samples to entice you into getting their first effort too. Crowbar are a band whose whole back catalogue you buy if you get into them and as one of my favourite bands I suggest you check them out. If you like metal, you won't be disappointed. \../

This is Crowbar sound all the way. An insanely slow and low album with impressive mixing. Absolutely love. I like Crowbar, but this has got to be one of their best, if not THE best.

this album obliterates all the music of the era when it was first released (1995). All the numetal kids out there who think the latest, generic tripe to emerge is 'the heaviest' obviously hasnt heard crowbar.
opener 'the only factor' sprints of the blocks with a massive riff and you know this is crowbar. this is followed by the fast, almost thrash musings of 'no more can we crawl', which contains some uplifting lyrics and heavy drums. 'time heals nothing' slows the pace. basically, this album is instantly recognizable crowbar: massive drums, crushing guitars, more bass than a boy racer can shake his sports cap at and powerful vocals.
