I'm a left sided hemiplegic, meaning my left side is weak, regular use of this wobble cushion, has improoved my posture, both standing and sitting, which in turn has re-trained my body's alignment, and dramatically reduced various aches and pains in and around my body (From using the wrong muscle groups to hold me up straight), It's the product itself after using the hand pump (with valve included!) to inflate to required level, was ready to use right out of the box, quick simple, effective & exactly what I needed, I Highly recommend product, I would buy again without hesitation, from this Seller. Many Thanks from Simon :o)

I love this product. Because of cerebral palsy, I have terrible balance which affects all areas of my life and makes a normal balance board too difficult for me. The wobble cushion moves only slightly when I stand on it and shift from foot to foot and I can now do it without holding onto anything for several minutes at a time. This is a huge improvement for me! The textured surface offers good grip and a little foot massage at the same time, which helps because I have poor circulation. Since using the board, I've noticed a big improvment in my balance generally.

The less severely textured side is good to sit on. I find I slouch less and don't end up with numbness or lower back pain. It doesn't give you a huge workout so if your main interest is 'active sitting', I'd look for a more advanced posture cushion and it isn't as challenging to your balance as a normal wobble board. But if you have extremely poor balance or have been injured, it's a really useful and versatile product. It's easy to refill and the included pump is excellent. I top it up fortnightly with daily use, but keep it fairly soft and I haven't had any problems. The enclosed suggestions were useful too.

This wobble cushion is a great product at a great price. The fact that it comes with a pump and brief exercise sheet only adds to the appeal. The more pronounced bumps on one side are perfect to stimulate blood flow on your feet and the smoother side is great for when you sit on the cushion. It is good for balance exercises, as well as sitting on for core strength. I have used a balance board for many years now and whilst it is good for balance exercises, you are unable to use it on a chair, and it also leaves unsightly dent marks on my carpet! This cushion has the benefits of both floor and chair balance exercises and won't damage any flooring you may have. It feels extremely well made and not in the least bit flimsy, it's made of the same material as many gym balls on the market. Overall this is a great product to compliment any home exercises you may already do. In addition it is great at work to help exercise and increase strength with any prolonged sitting.

Feel free to check out my blog which can be found on my profile page.

I purchased 2 cushions; one for myself and one for my husband.
I started contemplating the purchase, when one of my colleagues started using a similar product in the office. Having had some trials with her Sissel, I started searching on the Net to buy. As nature of my work predominately working with PC all day long, and I am suffering from lower back pain constantly, I decided to buy one.
I found it sitting on it all day is very hard work, as you almost forcing yourself sit with your back posture straight all the time. But as days and weeks go by you can used to it and sometimes you forget yourself sitting on it.
My advise for first timers are :
start using it for 2-3 hours a day till you get used to it; some people may even find this is hard, as you have to balance constantly.
Increase hours on it gradually.
Adjust pumping it to your balance ability; softer the easier & more air in the cushion the harder.

Might I also add this product is a few pounds cheaper than Sissel, and no delivery charges. And the cushion has duel purpose with spiky massaging on feet.... this is goooooood.

The difficulty with reviewing fitness equipment, is that other readers have a wide range of motor skills, strength, and motivation that may differ markedly from the reviewer. That difficulty increases when the equipment - such as the Wobble Cushion - can also be used for rehabilation from injury or surgery : guidance from a physiotherapist is vital if any equipment is used in those circumstances.

The Wobble Cushion is an inflatable plastic disc with walls about 5 cm high. With a small amount of air, the disc is reasonably flat. With more air, the upper and lower parts of the disc become curved - like a 'flying saucer' - so that the centre is about 10cm high. Less air tends to make it easier to balance on it, more air makes it less easy.

As much as I like using a BOSU in the gym, the small size of the Wobble Cushion is more suited to the home than a BOSU. For me, the primary use of the Wobble Cushion is improving balance and mobility by balancing on it with one leg, even when I'm cleaning my teeth. Lunges are possible with the leading foot on the cushion, but they need care as it has a small base. V Sits and Pilates exercises whilst sat on it are challenging, but that could be my lack of ability.

I use the Wobble Cushion on a hard surface, as the flexible protrusions on one side cause depressions in the carpet that take a little while to disappear.

To summarise:

* good value for money;
* versatile for recovering from injury (with guidance) or improving
balance and mobility for sports and general fitness (and honing BOSU
skills in the gym);
* sufficiently compact and light for use in the home.
