This is a Brilliant little lightweight tool for massage. I bought this and the 4 way nobbler at the same time. I prefer this one as it really is just like using your thumb. I would recommend it to all deep tissue therapists as it will save your thumb from pain and strain in the long term. I have been doing massage for years and wish I had found it a lot sooner. Excellent tool and very cheap too!... You can carry it everywhere with you even in your handbag. Buy it....

Works very well as a simple but effective aid, much better than just using your own thumbs. However, the plastic is very hard; it would be better still if made from a firm rubber-type material. BUT - you really need to understand Trigger Points before using it; the best self-help book is The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook: Your Self-Treatment for Pain Relief (Trigger Point Therapy Workbook: Your Self-Treatment Guide for Pain Relief)

Not really much I can say - it does what it says on the box. Would be better if the nobbly bit at the end was slightly softer. The firmness is good, but something soft or cusiony on the tip would make this more comfortable to use.

This is a fantastic little gadget. I've been plagued with tension and troublesome trigger points for years and this tool is great for targeting those problem areas. It's like using your thumb but you can apply much more pressure with a lot less effort. Friends and family have borrowed it and all have sung its praises. In fact I've ended up buying several more of these as gifts.

I have two (one for home, one for travel). This is a great tool for self-massage of trigger points in the trapezius muscles if like me you suffer from chronic myofascial / muscle pain. I use five to ten hard strokes on each point every evening, this often makes the trigger points relax enough for me to take out all the kinks in my neck with a very gentle roll. I can then stretch muscles which were too tight to stretch effectively before.

Quick word of warning - overmassage of irritable trigger points can make them worse so go easy!

As a private physiotherapist I treat roughly 15 patients a day, and as I treat mainly whiplash I do deep soft tissue massage on most of my patients, this equates to about 5-6 hours of continual massage a day. After a couple of months in my job my thumbs were wrecked from hours upon hours trigger pointing. I bought this little beauty and it has been a dream. Of course it can't be used for palpation, but once you locate the triggers it is great on them. If like me you do a lot of massage, buy this and save your hands

I have bought many of these massage tools call Knobble-it thumb massagers over the years, I have several different types made by the same company but this style is the one I use most. They are very well priced, particularly if you buy them from 66FIT and very useful, particularly for massaging one's own neck etc. they help give a deeper massage without wearing out your fingers and thumbs or hands in general. I am always buying them for people and I will continue to do so. Highly recommended!

I have a real stubborn trigger point of knotted muscle just near to the rhomboid attatchment to the shoulderblade, which is like having constant toothache but in my back.Five minutes of having this rubbed vigourously over it and it feels much better. For such a simple device,it works really well, because unless your wife/girlfriend has hands like pitchforks they're unlikely to match the pressure this can generate, even when used by the daintiest of maidens...
