I tried this light firstly in a pitch black room and it allowed my JVC MG330 to produce excellent video. Then tried it in a partially illuminated room with the same results.
The unit is compact so can be easily stowed away in a camera case.
This is an excellent product and highly recommend it for those wishing to lighten their darkness!!

I wanted something bright, but not so bright it blinds people, this is just the thing. I am not a pro film maker I just needed some light! Used it on night shoots just to "Fill in" worked very well, considering buying another as so portable. I use mine with 2 video cameras.

First off, very prompt delivery so happy about that.
The product itself is very good - very very bright: quite a blinder! In actual fact it came in handy when using it with my Canon 550D; gonna use it at a night event so will see how it pans out.
Uses 4x AA batteries, and the unit does get quite warm so do be careful.
Also for those worried about hooking up multiple things to a camera with one hotshoe: dont worry, it comes with an extra bracket which is fab so a mic and light can go on at the same time. And its not too heavy neither!
Thumbs up, a must buy for those needing light with their camera.
