For very big trees a big powerful saw is needed, and this is it. It replaces, and closely resembles, a 20" Husquvarna that I bought 2nd hand from forestry commission 35 years ago to cope with dutch elm disease casualties. No doubt there are saws of this size that are slightly lighter, more powerful, better engineered, but only at many times this price. So far it has been excellent; very easy to start on account of the spring assisted cord pull, engine runs smoothly, blade cuts well. If you have big trees to cut it's a gift at this price; I've done three days work with it so far, and I reckon it's paid for itself already! If you work with smaller trees you may want something smaller and lighter, but it will cost you a lot more, and you may as well buy this big brute as well at this price. The lightweight will be easier to manage, but the big brute will be much quicker on the medium/large cuts, and you will have the luxury of a spare saw.
