5.0 out of 5 stars 501 Spanish verbs 13 Oct. 2010
Format:Paperback
I love this book and the cdrom and cd
I wish I'd bought it when I first started my study of Spanish with the Open University.
Its very detailed, I imagine that it will see me through the advanced level Spanish when I hopefully get there.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great Book But Not on Kindle 21 July 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I got this book about a year ago on the Kindle (from the US Store). This book is a great resource for anyone trying to learn Spanish. It is not just a book that gives verb conjugations but also details many aspects of grammar. However (and I'm not sure if this has improved with the more recent versions of Kindle) reading some of the tabulated text in Spanish is a pain- because the Spanish text is fainter than the English text and it gives me a headache everytime I squint to read the tables (increasing font size does not help!). Maybe this has changed now- but I just wish I had bought the hardcopy instead.

5.0 out of 5 stars 501 Spanish verbs 23 Feb. 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Anyone who is serious about learning Spanish, this is the book for you. If you can't be bothered to learn your verbs then don't waste your time or money buying this because that is it's purpose. I am on my second copy (to update a much older edition) and you will not find a better aid to learning Spanish. I now live in Spain and have attended Spanish classes here. Everyone in our class had a copy of this. It is nothing more than a tool for you to use, and it lists verbs in their tenses, ie: I go - voy, you go - vas, he/she/it goes - va etc. It really is the most clearly laid out book I have seen and very easy to follow and covers all the tenses including compound tenses. It is also extremely comprehensive and gives examples of Spanish sayings and expressions and gramatical explanations. Very good value. If you didn't want to spend as much, you could buy an earlier edition which I have seen on sale for less and which you will find an equally useful tool but without the updated improvements. No hesitation in awarding 5 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic resource 4 Feb. 2011
By Matt
Format:Paperback
This book is an absolutely fantastic resource for the Spanish learner. It's a hefty book but is written in a very clear and therefore accessible way. It provides succinct explanations both of the different tenses and grammar. The layout of the 501 verbs gives you a quick guide to all the verb forms in the different tenses, which I've found invaluable. There are also exercises to practice and the CDs. This book is definitely one to go back again and again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book 5 Nov. 2011
Format:Paperback
We have an earlier version of this book which we use all the time in Spain. We wanted a copy for our UK home. This version is a great improvement and it's cheap too. It comes with Cd's which I've copied into Itunes & we have them on our Iphones, which is very useful.

When we return Spain I intend to order another one of these books because we feel we need two copies when we are doing Spanish homework.

3.0 out of 5 stars Warning: Don't buy The Kindle edition! 27 July 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I had this book in the paperback version, and I loved it! The best Spanish teaching-aid I have ever used.
But when moved to Spain it got lost in transit!

I hated being without it - so I bought the kindle edition, thinking it would be just as good - but I was wrong.

The kindle edition contains the same information but it is extremely annoying to use.
To get the best from this book you need to flick quickly from section to section and you simply can't do that in the kindle edition. Scrolling through page after page after page became so tedious that I soon gave up trying.
You will learn ten time faster if you buy the actual book.
I have now ordered a replacement paperback copy from Amazon and will be happy never to see the kindle edition again!
This is not a criticism of the book - it is the best book in print for learning Spanish verbs - a must buy, but useless on kindle.

This new version is FANTASTIC - and the addition of CD Rom and Audio CD is really helping me get to grips with the different tenses. If you are learning Spanish this is the book to buy because you'll be using it all the time.

I don't know why I put off buying this book for so long! I am doing an Upper-Intermediate Spanish course with the OU, and ever since it arrived this book has become invaluable to me. It's really quick and easy to use. Recommend anyone learning Spanish to buy it!
