This book is great for planning days out or weekends away. It covers a huge number of different places across the UK (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and also some in Ireland. The vast bulk are in England, so not the balance that some people may hope for, yet there are still plenty of options elsewhere.

Pictures on every page are nice and help to draw you in, particularly when just flicking through for ideas. Each page has a half page prose about the area or attraction covered and then there are some key points to note such as location, cost, amount of walking/accessibility and things not to miss. Unforetunately, your geography has to be good as there are no maps to reference where each of the locations are, so a handy internet connection or atlas to check may be helpful.

It's a hardback bound book with a dust-jacket, so can be stuffed in a suitcase for weekend or holidays away without much worry about damage, although given the size and weight, it might not be too convenient to take out to each day trip with you.

Overall, it's a really good book to provide inspiration for places to go and things to do, just a shame about the lack of map.

Great product with really informative pages on each town/area etc. Will be of great use for those days when you think where shall we go? Only small gripe is there could have been a master map or something to show where the places actually are in the UK, apart from that great product!
