A good chunky book, filled with excellent close up photos of earrings made by a huge selection of jewellers. Easy to see how many of them are constructed, so lots of ideas for jewellers to incorporate some of the techniques into their own work.

For those who loved 1000 rings you will also I think love this. Its beautiful and with a vast array of earring styles, from wearable to artistic to practically sculpture. It is an inspiring coffee table book of inspiration. I was dissapointed with 500 bracelets, I thought that it was nowhere near as good as this and 1000 rings and 500 necklaces. I've yet to check out 500 brooches. A lovely series that lark has done for inspiring jewellery makers with ideas.

I have a couple of the other publications that match this book and this one is really disappointing. It features mostly ultra modern earrings, which from a design feature are great but there are too many of them. There really isn't much variety. If I could have viewed the inside of the book I wouldn't have purchased it. It's put me of buying any further 500 series of books unless I can personally view them
