I bought this book mainly for my daughter who has just passed her grade 1 piano. It is true that the tunes on the book are simplified versions of the hits and do not necessarily contain all the verses of the songs. Most of the pieces only take up 1-2 pages but this is suitable for the difficulty of the book. It is nice to find something that beginners can tackle and make sense of as the songs are well known so the player knows what the piece should sound like. I, myself am only about grade 1 standard with the piano but I have also been able to sight read and play some of the pieces and the book has given me a much bigger repertoire. If the pieces were full length and more complicated arrangements it would make them seem a difficult task. As it is, the ability to turn to a song I know and play a fair bit of it independently gives a boost to the confidence and the more difficult pieces in the book provide a challenge and gives the player something to aspire to.

Hi, I love these books but please list the name of all the songs in the book as its pointless getting a book of songs you dislike.......hope this helped! :)

Varied collection of easy scores
This is a great book with music as varied as Swan Lake to Thriller! The score is easy to understand and the print a comfortable size. Worth every penny!!!

Brilliant book for anyone wishing to achieve a good sound.
This is one of the easier books I bought, would suit a musician who is not of the top notch, could be played by around grade 2 level, but some are harder than others. Read more

Excellent product
Having learnt to play piano many years ago - found some of the tunes easy to play but still the challenge of the more difficult ones. It'll keep me busy for a long time.
