I have a background of 8 years practice as a chiropodist, so my views will be coloured by what I already know. I thought the book was a useful addition to my library and I will use it to help some of my patients who wish to be better informed.
The best point for me was that the book identified when an orthopeadic surgeon would be a better person to take over care from my own non-invasive approach. It gave easy to understand guidelines on a surgical approach and success rates, which I belive will assist my own patients to have an informed opinion.
The fact that it is broken down into case by case studies also makes it ideal to get quickly to the point. A good knowledge of medical terms is essential to get the best from this book, it does not hold your hand as some books do. If you show it to someone else be prepared to explain these terms - or be made a fool of!
A good and helpful book for the experienced reader, or have a dictionary to hand if you are a student.
