This is an excellent book for learning and using aran/cable stitches. I bought it for my sister-in-law, who is keen to learn cable knitting and was so impressed that I bought a copy for myself! Stitch patterns are well decribed, with clear photos. I am an experienced knitter who loves to knit arans, so this is a great book for me, too, to add to my library. I would reccommend it for anyone who likes to experiment with or extend their knitting skills

This book has a geat variety of easy to follow stitches written out (I don't do charts)which can be easily worked into your own personal aran projects.

I ended up returning this book. I already owned other cable books, and did not feel that this one added anything that you wouldn't find in a larger stitch stitch collection like " 400 Knitting Stitches." I had hoped that there would be something new since it was specifically just cable stitches, but didn't see anything that made me want to keep it. Try to take a look at it before buying to see if there are patterns that you like.
