Jojo Allen says:
I see that the new 2009 30th Anniversary version of the Cabaret DVD is 119 minutes long, but the old 2003 issue of the film is 124 minutes.
Anybody know why?

Rego says:
The 30th Anniversary version although region free, is in fact a pal version and runs @ 25 FPS rather than the 24FPS of the original film. This increase in frame rate makes the run time slighly shorter. The NTSC DVD versions are specially transferred from the 24FPS so they can run @ a frame rate of 30 FPS and thus maintain the original film run time.
