I purchased the cheapest sound card which I could for an older pc. The purpose of the card was to enable me to play Region 1 discs through the tv, which when set up properly it is able to do. This budget card provides a very respectable sound for movies etc and on this pbasis I have no problem in recommending it. If you are an avid gamer then perhaps your requirements will be higher, but for run of the mill stuff this is perfectly acceptable.

Purchased this card to replace the fault on the sound card motherboard of my pc. Inserted into machine re booted, entered BIOS to turn off " motherboard sound card" Windows 7 picked the card up immediately, clicked on "have disk" and enabled driver/software that way. Unfortunately had a fault on L/H side speaker. Contacted seller regarding this.
The thing was as this is a cheap sound card and in no real rush to receive it I only bought with a normal delivery option but got confirmation of dispatch the next day (ordered the night before) and received the day after. Once contacted, the seller again responded promptly and I received the replacement the day after again! No faults, works superb for the money on 2 channel (that's all I will use it on) but the service I received was second to none. Would definitely use Star-E-Shop again.

Amazing quality & great value.
No problem installing & now brilliant error free music.
Installed on upgraded Desktop where Win 7 drivers were not available for built in sound card.
System was very scratchy & noisy. Now amazingly crisp and clear.

How can you go wrong at this price ?

surround sound card
I am sure the card is alright but sad to say it will not fit into my computer so I cannot state something I don't know, the price was cheap though.

Pure Sound
I was asked to get this 5.1channel suround sound card by a friend and was glad i did it does what it says and after months of no sound this is brill and also so easy to install.
