1.0 out of 5 stars Wii-mote lightsaber? Not really., 3 Dec 2007

Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
Bought a couple of those Wii-mote lightsaber attatchments today, thinking they were a brilliant idea. How wrong I was.

They dont help the controls at all. They make the Wii-mote almost totatally responsive, unless you jab at the T.V in a stabbey fencing type way. Very disappointed.

(didn't buy these from Amazon, but I felt I have to warn people!)

1.0 out of 5 stars An utter pile of rubbish, 17 Dec 2007
Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
I was so excited at seeing you could get lightsabers to play Wii Star Wars with, I had to give them to my boyfriend for his birthday rather than wait until Christmas. After all, this is what Wii was made for, surely?

Imagine our disappointment to find that the attachment is nothing more than a glorified torch - rendering the Wii-mote totally unresponsive to motion, and you have to remove them to actually move your lightsaber in the game.

Yes - exactly what I thought. Absolutely pointless. No pun intended.
Don't go near these with a lightsaber. Sorry - bargepole.

3.0 out of 5 stars A great novelty item, 9 Jul 2008

I love the lego Star Wasr game and was bought this as a birthday present. Its great for getting into the mood for a proper Star Wars session (Incuding my brown hooded dressing gown) but as Wii players will tell you, you can achieve a lot with small wrist movements and this makes the hand very sluggish and heavy. Like I say a great novelty, but it will not enhance the game play.
