So as far as I can tell this is purely labelled for being used with the Wii to fool people who have not yet bought a Wii as the Wii itself has NO RJ45 connection! Its currently wireless only and trust me, if you are yet to set up a wireless network, do so it's so much easier and with Connect24 you can leave your wii on standby to update itself when necessary for a very low power usage. Nintendo are planning on releasing a USB/RJ45 connector...but this is not it and it will not work with your Wii!

What is the point of having a Wii specific ethernet cable when a) any standard cable would do, and b) the Wii doesn't have an ethernet port to plug this cable in to anyway? Yes, Nintendo have announced they'll be releasing a LAN adapter, but they still haven't dated it. It could be March, April, could be December knowing Nintendo.

The adapter isn't even listed on Amazon at the time I'm writing this, so what's the point of listing the cable? How many well-intentioned parents who don't really know what they're doing will buy this so little Timmy can use the Wii's online functions, only to find they have nowhere on the Wii to plug it in?
