I bought this to upgrade my old 300W PSU in my Dell(which has been modded a lot!) which was getting to its capacity and affecting the performance of my computer. So this is why i purchased this, don't let the price worry you, its not low quality at all. The PSU itself comes with 1x24 pin (20+4) Connector which is able to fit the 20 and 24 pin motherboards, 1x6 Pin PCI-Express, 1x4pin +12v, 1xFloppy,4x4pin molex(2 seperate cables), 2xSata(1 cable, 2 connectors).
There are plenty of molex power cables for fans but i found i needed another sata power cable. Instead i got a sata power cable and hooked it higher up on the existing sata power cable. You could also get a molex power to sata power adapter if you find you are short of a cable.

The PSU has a very good cooling fan which covers a majority of the bottom of the PSU case and airflows out the back, which i've found overall has worked well in my computers airflow set up.

When you buy this you will need to get the appropriate power cable if you don't already have one, and also PSU screws if you don't already have these. Overall this product so far has been perfect and a great buy. Cheap, works great and best of all is gold! What more do you want from a power supply?

Bought this for a re-build of a system. This has "version 2.3" stamped on the fan area
First off, it's not "silent", though it's not hugely noisy either about the same level as many OEM off the shelf pc's with their power supplies.
Yes it has a large 120mm fan, but it appears to run only at one speed, rather than the variable speed of more expensive power suplies. If the manufacturer had picked a slower fan speed it might be very quiet. As it is, it's not deserving of the description "silent" but bar some turbulence noise it's not ear shatteringly noisy.

Quiet PC users will no doubt be looking for higher priced power supplies anyway, just something to bear in mind.

Onto the actually power supply, the build is simple and basic (though acceptable at this price) There are an adequate number of SATA and molex connectors (4 Molex 2 SATA and a PCI express), and the cable length is suitable for up to a mid sized ATX case (you might stretch a bit with bigger. cases)

Only the main board cable is sleeved, again at the low price point this isn't a problem for me. For the moment, voltages appear stable and satisfactory in the dual core Athlon II I used this in.

If I were to be critical it's in 2 areas. Firstly there is no power supply cable provided, just an empty white box which looks about the size for a cable, but with nothing in it! And there are no screws provided either. On the cable, that is annoying; Amazon really should provide a power cable with this power supply if the manufacturer doesn't. I have a lot of screws around so that wasn't a problem for me.

So bottom line, an ok budget PSU (so far) For a replacement build or a super budget pc build this might be a reasonable choice.

I bought this to replace the noisy PSU that came in my zoostorm pc. It was so easy to swap the two out. It came with all the connectors needed and when it switched on, I thought I had bought a dud as it was so silent I didn't think it had actually come on. Excellent piece of kit for such a cheap price.

I bought this after an old P4 system bit the dust.

Despite a few comments to the contrary, it has all of the required cables/connections. It is also VERY quiet. In fact it is as quiet as the £120 unit I have fitted to my main PC.

Well happy.

Not only does the 24 pin connector become a 20 pin after sliding off the extra 4 pins, it also has a 6 pin connector for PCI Express connectivity (not mentioned in the spec).

And it is very quiet !

To the person who thinks the PSU is no good because it only has a 24 pin connector - the extra 4 pins will slide off (making it into a standard 20 pin type!)if you look at it carefully.

The PSU was well packaged in a branded box on receipt. It is indeed a very shiny shade of gold! There were good quick-installation instructions included.

I've been using it for about a week and had no problems so far. The 120mm fan is very quiet compared to the one in my old CPU and seems to draw more air through the PC case (since installation the case temperature has dropped by several degrees C). The power cables from the PSU are very nice, with the 20+4 pin mobo power cable surrounded in plastic netting to keep the wires together. The connectors are black and there are plenty of molex (4) and SATA (2) connectors for my requirements. The 20+4 pin connection fitted my old mobo - just slipped off the extra 4 pin connector to fit the slot.

Note that you *do not* get a AC power cable with this item. If you already have a PSU which you are replacing then this is not a problem as you just use the old one. If not, you will need to buy a cable to run from your mains power socket to the back of the PC.

All in all, a good, quiet, power supply for the price.

I bought one to try.

More than anything else, it's how quiet it is that amazes me. So much so, I'm buying another for my other PC. It does the job and I hardly notice my PC is on!

The 24-Pin main ATX connector is adaptable to 20-pin for other style motherboards. The adapter simply slides off.
