Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

Climbing on the burly shoulders of the No Limit record label, New Orleans's Cash Money Records leads the Dirty South's second assault on the ears of the rest of the country. But it wasn't until Juvenile's conversational "Ha", a furiously paced monologue dwelling on the details of everyday life, broke that the label was able to establish itself with a single that would snap northern necks. 400 Degreez, the album from which "Ha" is drawn, marks a high point in the South's musical output. Producer Manny Fresh--who's responsible for all the Cash Money production--rarely strays far from the region's bass roots, blending it with strings, keys, and other layers to make it more palatable to the masses. And it's Juvenile, with his hurried slurs, who dances the shimmy best, from the anthemic "Run for It" to the New York-ready braggadocio of "Juvenile on Fire", on which Fresh shakes it up like maracas on Cinco de Mayo. --Jon Caramanica

5.0 out of 5 stars 400 Degreez, 20 Jan 2005
I had this album since 1999 and this is Juvenile best album so far but i've got to hear his newest one 600 Degrees, back to the album, Its Juvey's best piece of work, very creative and i say this all the time, the production is great when you have Cash Money's beat machine Mannie Fresh producing all your beats and the help from his fellow Hot Boy members B.G., Lil' Wayne & Turk. Every track on the album is great with tracks like: Back That Azz Up (featuring Mannie Fresh & Lil Wayne) that was his anthem and could have any hot gurl dropping it like it's hot, Rich Niggaz (featuring Turk, Lil Wayne & Paparue) you got Turk & Lil' Wayne spliting hard, Juvenile On Fire that song is hectic, he kills the track basically every track on the album is raw and you should get this great album.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best cd that cash money has ever put out, 14 Aug 2002
All i can say is that this album is a cash money classic, even if you have never listened to cash money you will like this album. The beats are hot, the lyrics are sometimes serious and on another note mostly 'club lyrics', jointz like 'Ha' and 'Back That Ass Up' are bound to make you and your car speaker bounce, don't get me wrong the lyrics aren't real material like from Talib Kweli etc but Juvenile's lyrics seem to blend with this album, overall it's an essential purchase 1.

5.0 out of 5 stars 4X US Platinum shines through, 5 Mar 2002
By A Customer
It will be clear to any hip hop fan who are lucky enough for this music to grace their ears , on how good an album this is. Juvenile or juvy , hit the rap scene in '98 with his debut album 400 degreez, with his label cash money aiding him with the hot (400 degreez) beats and guest rappers such as turk and B.G featured on this album. Tracks like 'back that ass up' still feature in many hip hop nights in clubs around the uk , and has almost become cash moneys anthem of success. ' Y'all know how tha platinum shines' is apparent with this 4x US platinum album. A MUST BUY FOR any rap fan!!!!!!
