About the Author
Graham McCallum is an artist, designer and craftsperson. He is the author of 4000 Flower and Plant Motifs and 4000 Animal, Bird and Fish Motifs and Pattern Motifs. He teaches and writes on design and lives in Durban, South Africa.

This book is a great source for inspiration in textile work, and artwork alike. Whether you are looking for a quilting design, a border for a picture, a motif to incorporate into textile art or something to embroider onto clothing, bags, blankets etc you will find plenty in here.
The designs are all in black and white, so you can add your own colours to them. The motifs are sorted into categories which include flowers and plants, animals, birds and borders and patterns making it easy to find what you are looking for.
The book itself is quite thick and chunky so it would be difficult to photocopy of scan directly from the book. But they have thought of this and kindly included a cd rom at the back of the book with all the designs on. These motif books make a great addition to any sewist's or artist's library.

Disappointed Deco

After having purchased three other works by this author and loving them I had high hopes for this book. Art Deco is "my love". The book was a disappointment. I had expected at least some Art Deco figures, statues, etc. There are none. thus, my disappointment!

Book has some great art deco designs, more animals than I am interested in but I'll use some of the other designs. VERY disappointed that the CD was not in my book. I would not have bought from this seller if that had been mentioned in it's description. I feel this is a misrepresentation without disclosure.
